I love shopping for breakfast bread. The sweet aromas of freshly baked bread, the wide assortment of bread on display, in rows and rows of trays. Yummm.

I was only supposed to buy one for my breakfast but I ended up with three because I couldn't decide which was better and wanted to try them all.

Mini cranberry Hokkaido ($1.40), Cheddar double ($1.40), hen & cheese ($1.60). Clockwise from the left).

Mini cranberry Hokkaido had a top layer of crust which looked similar to that of Crystal Jade's Po Lo Bao's. It turned out to be more sugary and flaky. There were quite few cranberries and there weren't other treasures inside the bread. Cheddar double had a crispy cheesy layer and slices/cubes of cheddar cheese on the inside! I liked the firm texture of the bread, and you need to use a little bit of teeth power to tear the bread apart. Hen and cheese was chicken and cheese, and it was similar to Four Leaves' Parmesean chicken, but tasted better:). The chicken breast meat strips weren't dry and tasteless unlike the Four Leaves' version.

I hope Breadtalk continues to update and introduce new flavours to their bread assortment:). Four Leaves' bread gets pretty boring and predictable sometimes, but I do love their ham & potato bun and mini chocolate bread with a honey star cornflake at the centre^^.
