I am on a search for authentic Korean cuisine, so when brother suggested bringing Mum out for dinner, I suggested he search for a Korean place:). So his wife placed a reservation at 향 토 골~

The appetizers! They came shortly we got seated. A total of TEN different appetizers, with yellow beansprouts, kimchi(!), potato salad, seaweed, ikan bilis, wasabi cucumber, shitake mushrooms etcetc. We were saying we could just order bowls of rice to go with all these. Kimchi!! I don't ever want to eat kimchi from other places le.

Ginseng chicken soup. The chicken was stuffed with gluttinous rice, but most of the rice melted into the soup (and helped to thicken the soup). Mmmmms~ The soup was full of chicken breast meat and I liked that:D. Hot soup to warm our stomachs up for pending dishes.

Spicy rice cakes!! The rice cakes were chewy chewy chewy. Be prepared to get some workout down with your molars. Although the rice cakes look chilli-hot, they weren't~ The sauce was the sweet type of chilli, but it was so so good:). This is a MUST try!

Kimchi tofu and pork. The pork was fatty meat, tasted somewhat like bacon! I don't usually eat the fatty bits of pork (I like the lean meats or tenderloins), but this was quite crispy so I tried one. I think I prefer my lean meat still. Hee. But I kept myself busy with the sour+spicy kimchi and smooth tofu. Similar to the rice cakes, this weren't as spicy as it looked.

Seafood and spring onion pancake (a slice of it). This actually came in a huge serving pan, with at least 8 slices of pancake. Crispy crispy! We couldn't taste the seafood though! It was more of spring onion and more spring onion pancake. Delicious anyway:D.

We didn't have any more stomach storage space for more dishes as the servings were pretty generous. Service was prompt and attentive, even as the dinner crowd came while we were halfway through the dinner. This place is pricey though, we spent close to $30 each. I want to be back here to eat the MEAT. The tantalising smells of the grilled meat from neighbouring tables diffused to our side. And after watching so many korean dramas which showed them chowing on the grilled meat wrapped in leafy vegetables, I totally want to eat the meat. I'll be back, either with my financially stable siblings or with a fat wallet in the beginning of a new month when I get the tuition salary. :DD.
