To date, personally, Bedok's chwee kuehs remain unrivalled. The famous Tiong Bahru Market ones aren't as nice cos their kueh's texture is not as smooth, and the kuehs are too hard. These soft white kuehs from Bedok melts in your mouth, the irresistible dried shrimp belachan chilli paste (always request for more!), the perfect cai pu (cai por), the long queues... The cai pu improved! There's was once I stopped eating them cos the cai pu had a weird funny smell. But it's back in tiptop quality again. :D
