There are so many versions of Katong laksa down the street that you never know which is the authentic one. This is my personal favourite stall. I don't know the exact street but it is opposite Roxy Square (50 East Coast Road S428769 ). It is a coffeeshop which sells nasi lemak as well and is full of photos the lady boss took with various local and overseas artistes. I can't explain why but this brand of laksa is what I always stick to. Spicy chilli paste (refillable aka there's a small container of chilli at every table), fresh cockles + prawns, thick gravy, clean and cool surroundings, what more can you ask for? :). It has another stall along the same street, which has more seats and is air-conditioned.
